what is the best excercise to do or exercise tape? I currently take some classes at Lucille Roberts gym, but want something I could do at home. I just dont want to flair the fibro. I also suffer from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome so my weight is another issue! any suggestions would be great! :Soft Hugs:

I highly recommend trying yoga. If regular yoga seems to hard, try prenatal yoga tapes. The modifications are perfect for fibro bodies. I really believe the yoga has helped me improve my mobility and reduced my frequency of the bed ridden days. And it has actually toned my body and helped me lose weight. I have such bad SOB (shortness of breath) that I can't do anything aerobic but a little walking. But with the yoga I lost 30 pounds in about a year.

Hope that helps. - Andy

Hi.
I agree. Yoga is great for keeping the old body going. I would suggest that whatever exercise programme you take up, have it checked by your doc or physio. We are all different and our symptoms are different, so what is good for me might do you harm.
Exercise is a vital part of managing fibro so go for it.

I also agree on the yoga :)

One other thing that I adore is these videos called Walk Away The Pounds. It's basically walking in your own home. They are extremely low impact and, well, if you DO get tired, you just sit right down. I love to walk, but I'm always afraid to walk to far and not be able to get back home lol

But seriously, I get some extremely bad days, and usually I'm still able to do these with no problem. Just do a search for them on google, you won't have any problem finding them :)

Good luck!
