I love to wear red lipstick especially when I wear a red shirt or whatever so it matches, but when I do the lipstick will be above my mouth or on my skin somewhere on my face later especially after I drink something or whatever. Any tips on how to make it stay on the lips only? lol. And is red the only color that looks good with red shirts? How about with orange shirts?

Hi Rainbow! When it comes to wearing red, you might be better off with one of those stay put lipsticks. There are several great brands out there - I like the one by Avon. As far as color - that depends on your skin tone - but neutrals look good on most people!

It might help to use a little extra lip liner and color your whole lip in with liner, too. I'vr found that this helps my lipstick stay were it's supposed to.

I have a friend whose lipstick looks perfect even after a meal. When I asked her secret, she showed me how she puts her fork, or spoon, INTO her mouth, not allowing anything to touch her lips. In Puerto Rico, where I am from, it is common to see women at bars drinking beer out of a straw, so as to keep their lisptick intact. As for lipsticks that claim they stay on, I have not found anything that lives up that claim.

I just recently discovered Lipsense by Senegence and love this product. I put it on before I jump in the shower and wash my face and I even use a white towel to dry off my face with just because I get such a kick out of the fact that I can be wearing such red lipstick and not have it come off on *anything*! The bad news is that it's expensive ($20 for the color and then another $14 for the gloss which you really do need) and can only be purchased through a distributer (I usually avoid anything I can't just buy at the store like the plague) but for me it's worth it. I especially love being able to have a really glossy look (the gloss does come off so you have to keep reapplying that, but it's clear) -before I always had to settle for a matte look if I wanted staying power.

I love the max factor and cover girl (???) semi permanent lipsticks with gloss in RED. The Max Factor one is called "Wicked," I think. Good luck!
