I didnt really know which forum to put this in, but it looks like some of you may be able to help me out with some info im trying to find. Almost 2 months ago I started to take some of my mothers 5mg oxycodones the small ones with M on it. I figured it would be ok because they were only 5mg. the problem is, i was snorting them most of the time. I hadnt really done pills before, especially not snorting them. I think i was doing 2 or 3 a night, over the course of the entire night, not all together. So i did that for maybe 2 weeks, then i went vacation for about 3 weeks. I did nothing there except maybe one or two hydrocones, but i didnt snort much of them. After I came back I started back at my mothers pills, except this time mostly 5mg roxicodones i think the doctor substituted for the oxycodones. So its been 2 or 3 weeks that ive been doing those, mostly snorting but not all of the time. Then yesterday I realized the inside of my nose wasnt looking right. on one side it looks almost closed. I dont know if its just because its swollen, or if its damaged or something. As we usually breathe mostly through one nostrel, this "swollen or damaged" inside will change to the other side when the breathing changes. So im a little worried if this will ever go back to normal. thonly symptom ive been having is a runny nose on that side. but the inside looks almost like the sides have gotten bigger, swelled, or maybe eaten away but i really have no idea. The side that you breathe through looks a little different but nothing compared to this side that i cant/dont breathe out of. After reading some info on these pills i know I not going to do it anymore. this may not even be a big deal, it may go away but i have no idea. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum.

I noticed on one answered this so thought I'd bump it.

No idea about the nose thing. I remember when cocaine was a popular drug. That was before crack and everyone snorted it. I used to read about how it could really destroy your nasal passages.

I'd see a doctor. You have to come clean and tell him the whole story so you may want to go a doctor other than your PCP. I say this because when mine found out I was an addict she dropped me as a patient. I don't know if that happens everywhere but I have heard of it happening with other people.

You need to get your nose looked at. What if some kind of infection has set in?

That's not going away on it's own.

You said you're not going to do it anymore. Is that the drug or just the snorting?

Let us know how you're doing.

I, too, don't know how to respond to this.
Years ago I experimented with "club drugs" but would never go so far as to snort anything EVER. That idea scared the crap out of me. Didn't your mom notice you were taking all her pills? I know my mom sure would.
I would second the notion that you visit a doctor. You may have done some serious and perhaps permanent damage that a doctor can remedy now before it's too late.
It would be a good idea if the only thing that ever goes up your nose again is some nose spray during a bad cold.

thanks for the replys. I meant i wasnt going to do the pills again at all. Yeah, I dont know if its infected. It doesnt hurt, its just almost like its closed up inside. My mother did notice, and confronted me once and i lied to her, though Im pretty sure she still knew I did take them. I know it all was a stupid thing to do. I just didnt think anything serious would happen to my nose that soon. Guess I will have to go to a doctor.
