Do you have anyone to help you? mernee 08-28-2004, 11:40 PM Just hang in there...this too shall pass. It is not a easy road the first little while but things do get better. It is a confusing, depressed state at first but as the days go on they get brighter and brighter, if you give in it will only get worse...hang in there...I will keep you in my thoughts. alaineOconnor 08-29-2004, 07:01 AM ONE DAY AT A TIME. find a meeting and go to it. it will help you. i promise. you want support - you will get so much support, you wont know what to do with it all. its unbelievable!! good luck, im here if you need..... Twinlynn 08-29-2004, 09:49 AM Kell - I've read many stories on this board of how depression and anxiety are the toughest part of withdrawals (I know that I experience it badly, just tapering.) But--I've also read all these success stories of those who got past that awful stage. It doesn't seem avoidable....but check the archives for struggles that had great results...and that might help a bit. (On a purely practical level....I've read many times that you should be drinking lots and lots of liquids! And taking some vitamins (don't know which ones!) Keep us up to date. Lynn :-) PS Don't forget soothing hot baths (unless you're in NY here, where the temps and humidty would ensure you'd be certifiable if you stepped into anything HOT! LOL! :-) daisye14 08-29-2004, 11:32 PM Thanx eveybody for your posts.I am still soooo depressed, honestly two yrs ago before I was popping vics and perks I was so happy and content never depressed, now I can't stop crying. My body feels like its been run over by a bus, even my fingers are acheing typing this now.Anyways I am on my way to the dreaded day three.ewww!!The worst day and to boot I am starting a brand new job tomorow.Thanx again for caring and Lynn I have been taking tons of hot baths and I live in Boston it has been sooo hot!!Talk to you all soon,God Bless,Kell. Azumi 08-30-2004, 05:15 AM I found B-100 vitamins were the best for the anxiety. That and you must occupy yourself with something other than sitting down watching TV or using the computer. I found that if I kept myself busy , the expected anxiety attack in the morning would not be as intense. Also , in the mornings , drink 1.5l of water ... this helps greatly with nausia... infact after around day 5 or so , drinking 1.5l of water would completely irradicate the nausia. Hang in there! daisye14 08-30-2004, 07:58 AM Thanks Azumi for the advise on vitamins and water.I have iron pills but I will pick some b-100's today. It is my first day at a new job today and I am on day 3 no perks or vikes I feel like I have the full blown flue. Its like my bodys telling me it can't live without those awful pills but I must beleave I will get better. At least I am not giving in.Anyways thanks for helping have a good day.Luv,Kell. |
