I was exposed to someone and I was tested for Hep B and Hep C at 3 months exact. After that I havent tested for it.
Basically for last two months when my liver test is done, my ALT keeps coming back high and I am also getting slight pain on the right hand upper abdominal.
My doctor says that he wants me to come back after a month and he says it might be normal because there are 4 test for liver and only ALT is coming back hight as 156.
What do I do ???? Is this Hep ??? Or what ?
Also, I've never drank in my life except once about 6 months ago. I was never on any medication eaither, what can cause this ?

Be sure to get checked again. There are different kinds of hepatitis. Some are viral also. I beleive viruses and stuff can also cause an increase in ALT.

There is a hep E & G now also. I beleive these are bacterial as well. There also is Auotimmune Hepatitis. I have this. It is where the immune system attacks the liver, galbladder and pancreas. But affects the liver mostly.

It is supposedly a heridtary disorder. I have the markers for it, and they think I got a virus and it settled in my liver and started the process of it. There is no cure, only treatment with steroids.
