undefinedundefinedI have a son that just turned 3. He has been diagnosed with autism. My husband and I took the bottle away from ar the age of 2 years old because his doctor was telling us he need to be off the bottle. When we did that my son lost 6 puonds over a months time. So The doctor said give it back to him if that all he wants to do is drink. The doctor also gave him pedisure because he's not eatting healthly food. Now he just turned 3 still not eatting healthly food, but is mantain weight by drinking pedisure in the bottle. If you have suggestion please let me know. :)

Have you tried the Playtex cups with the no-spill valve? It requires so much sucking that my son switched to it fairly effortlessly. Also, have you tried cups with straws? You probably have, but I thought I would mention it.

Try weaning him off the bottle by giving him drinks of Pedisure in regular sippy cups. Playtex makes ones that are non spillable that are really good. Is your child into rewards and stickers and stuff? Maybe you can try and give him a sticker for each time he drinks out of the cup.

Yes I've tried the sippy cups. I even bought one that the top off the cup is soft and looks like a bottle. I offer that cup every day and he just looks at it real quick and runs. As far as reward the only thing he really in to is watching movies, but I can't use that because that's the only way I can get him to eat his chicken nuggets and dry cearel and other things that he does eat. Other then that he's only into like playing outside or with big stuffed animals, hotwheel.
Thanks anyway

I drank a bottle until I was 4, I know this sounds rough but it worked.......put mustard in the nipple.
