Heya peeps, I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Myofascial Pain Syndrome and Major Depressive disorder, GERD, and Lower Back Pain (Fecet's Loading Disc) and I have been started on a Military medical discharge. If i get medically discharged and say I get a pension am i also allowed to claim SSI? Thanks would really appreciate some advice if anyone is military related.

Toodles,

Did you have SS deducted from paycheck? If bot I wouldn't think so. But I could be wrong, call your local DSS office, or the Web-page.

If I am not mistaken government employees and military have their own form of disability and do not rely on SS but I am sure PB can confirm that for sure.
If you have a history of standard work and did pay into SS you can recieve it but only if you have enough work credit hours.

your best bet is to call the vetrans association or even Social Security and inquire about any potential benefits.
