Is it common for sharp bones to keep working their way out? Does this happen for every tooth extracted? I have had several Alveoloplastys on one spot and now it looks like another coming out. When does it stop and why does this happen?

They are called bone fragments, I believe, and it's fairly common after extractions....although I was fortunate NOT to have any!!! From what I've read on these boards, they will eventually work their way out...saltwater rinses could help in speeding them along......sometimes they need to be removed by your dentist.
