I Have Seen Alot Of Threads On Here About Younger People That Have Had A Stroke. I Just Wanted To Let You Know That If Your Doctor Does Not Know Why You Had One...tell Him To Check For A Pfo(which Is A Patent Foreman Ovale) Hole In The Heart That Was Supposed To Close Up After Birth. It Is A Potential Risk Of Stroke...and Up To 30% Of The Population Has One. I Just Thought This Might Be Some Interesting Info. That Not Alot Of People Know About.

Good call. I recently had a stroke in August as a result of a PFO. I ended up going to the ER and and they sent me home saying I was too young to have a stroke (I'm 23). I went to get a second opinion and saw a specialist who immediately found the problem. So if you think you have this and the doctors say no it's always good to get a second opinion.

Wow; I thought I was young, but compared to you I'm an old hag.
I was 36 when I had my stroke.
I had a renin-producing tumor on my right kidney, which drove my blood pressure to colossal levels, and caused a severe cerebral hemorrhage.
Almost four years later, I can't use my left arm, but I can swallow more or less normally (which I was never supposed to again be able to do) and spell "hemorrhage."
I drink a toast of diet cola to you!
