Sorry I can't account for the meds your taking but as far as your thumping heart goes...keep in mind that you are pregnant and that your blood volume is increasing and to some degree your heart is compensating by growing a bit. The baby is growing as well and starting to push your guts up so you may start to experience heart burn or regurgitation--your organs are shifting, this could account for the increased sensitivety when you eat. So things are not as they were two weeks ago for you and they will be different again in 2 weeks. But pretty soon you'll be feeling the baby move an oh the beautiful maternity wear-things to look forward to!! I have mitral valve prolapse as well and have been told that I might have worse or stepped up episodes of fluttering and palpitations while pregnant, I have 3 kids. Try not to worry too much but with all things health related, especially when pregnant, talk to your doc to ease your concerns. Don't obsess when you can talk to the doc, you don't need the added stress. Meanwhile rest should help. I find the more tired I was the worse it was, so do get some sleep. It is also important to drink your required amount of water spread out over the course of the day your body (and baby) need it for blood and such. Continue to stay away from caffeine not good for palpitations and baby--decaf is ok.
I've been to heart specialists and worn the halter monitors and have had my mpv missed completely yet it is there (with a side order of pvc and pac) so I know your frustration. For me it's as tho I get a plasebo affect when hooked up to a machine so nothing shows--grrr.
So talk to your doc for reassurance and happy pregnancy (sleep when you can!!)
