Sponsor windysan 09-01-2004, 09:16 AM That's a doctor question but I think that by slowing the system down with clonidine it doesn't make you crave so much. Heck, I dunno....but it does help...that's the important part. loverLife 09-01-2004, 10:24 AM how does lowering your blood pressure help with withdrawls?? It doesn't help with withdrawals - it just keeps your BP from skyrocketing. Sarandipity 09-01-2004, 10:34 AM Jason, It does not help with w/d. When you stop taking meds, your blood pressure goes way up, the Clonidine prevents your blood presure from doing this- it will make you a little tired as well. Make sure you do this under a doctors care. If you, you can cause your body to have a seizure. Hope this helps! windysan 09-01-2004, 11:23 AM But....it does help "knock you back a bit". Slowing things down provides a little extra help....not much but some. jason_1981 09-01-2004, 12:53 PM thanks for the info i did not know your pressure goes up when off the meds. gotta say it did help me alot. vamp36 09-01-2004, 12:57 PM When your blood pressure is high, you can feel more anxiety as well. jason_1981 09-01-2004, 04:26 PM thanks for the info people. does anxiety mean like stressed out? |
