My tooth which had a filling was rotting out so I had to get an onlay. Right now I have the temporary sealant on my tooth. I just got it today and I'm getting the actual poreclain in a little more than a week.
I just wanted to know is it ok to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol while having the sealant on? Do I have to wait a certain amount of time? Also, once I get the actual poreclain on my tooth, how long should I wait for smoking/drinking? Thanks.

Smoking (I assume you refer to normal tobacco cigarettes) by itself often stains the teeth, I am not sure whether a mechanical damage to the teeth or those type of fillings may be caused solely by this habbit. I do know that excessive alcohol consumption damages both the teeth and the fillings, and may cause the latter to wear out much sooner than expected. Thus I wouldn't recommend too much alcohol intake.
I suggest you consult your dentist about this as I can not tell you whether smoking may damage your onlays nor what amount of alcohol is within the 'harmful scale'.
Good luck
