Hi!
Has anyone ever taken Bontril, if so, can you tell me how it worked for you. My doctor gave me a prescription for it today.

Hi!
Has anyone ever taken Bontril, if so, can you tell me how it worked for you. My doctor gave me a prescription for it today.

It is an appetite suppressant, just like most rx weightloss drugs. Bontril is not an amphetimine it is a sympathomimetic amine similar to the prototype drugs of this class used in obesity. Drugs of this class used in obesity are commonly known as "anorectics" or "anorexigenics".

I am currently using Bontril (Generic) and so far so good. It gives me energy and appetite control. I have had less side effects with Bontril unlike with phentermine and other weightloss drugs. I had really bad headaches and always agitated. They all have their different side effects. How are doing so far on them? Keep in touch. :bouncing:

Hi Angeleyesinga!

 Thanks so much for responding! I haven't started taking the Bontril because it scares me to take anything like that! I researched it and saw the side effects and it freaked me out! I have started watching what I eat and also started walking. I have to see the doctor on the 22nd and he wants me to lose 5 - 10 pounds by that visit. I am going to see if I can do it on my own. It does sound like you are doing great on it! I will let you know if I decide to take it after my visit! How much have you lost so far and when did you start taking it?

Hugs, CWC
