I am a 26 year old male and I dont have bags under my eyes but the skin is very dark. I look tired eventhough I am not. What can I do about this? I smoke too and I know that has to do something with it too. what do you guys think?

Drink lots of water. The more water you can stand, the better. It really will lighten them over time.

Allergies are a cause for dark circles. Every morning I take a decongestant.

If you're going to be in the sun for a long time, use sunscreen. The sun will just make them ten time worse.

Try and avoid caffeine. I know it can be hard, but I've heard this helps.

I can't think of much else besides don't rub them... I'd recommend some cosmetic products, but I don't think that's what you were looking for.. :)

Thanks rachel, actually I am open to the idea of using cosmetic products if it will help. I think with a combination of drinking lots of water, exercise, eating right and at least attempting to quit or reduce cigarettes I think I should be ok. What do you think?

Avon has some good undereye treatments for dark circles that you may want to try, and you can order it on-line instead of having to go to the store.

You can try those undereye creams also. They work for some people, and for others they do absolutely nothing. They didn't work for me. You never know though. It could help you. Just experiment with different things and maybe you'll find that miracle product!
