Ok, I've posted before but thought I'd ask you. I had a tattoo and saw them use new needles and ink. I also know that there have been no documented cases of hiv being spread this way. I have also found out that I need to be more concerned about hep c because it can live so long on surfaces or equipment. Is is the same for hiv and should I get tested?
Thanks!

HIV can not live long in the air--like 45 sec. to 2 mins. even if there was one reported case of HIV from tatoos, i can bet the CDC would report it. i can not tell you to go get tested or not, that is your choice. out of the millions, if not millions +++ of people who get tatoos, you happen to be the one that would contract HIV this way for the first time ever, i would give you $1,000 dollars to play powerball for me. i know that the thought of getting HIV in ANY way can take over our thoughts, but if you feel that you can not shake this fear, please talk to a professional so you can end this worry-some chapter in your life.
in my opinion you have nuthin' to worry about ok?
