Well...a bunch of my family went to donate blood here in central FL, b/c the supply is really low right now. Seeing as...Ive never had sex, etc. and had only been exposed to one blow job, I didnt exactly consider myself high risk for HIV, tho of course Ive been totally freaked about it. I decided to go ahead and donate blood, b/c I figured, since my "possible exposure" was over a year ago, they wouldn miss seeing my status, if I did test positive. I figured, if I donated and wasnt pos, at least I was helping someone out, if I tested pos, at least I would now know. Anyway, now Im totally paranoid about how long it takes for them to test for it at the blood bank. I do know that they call you, if any of the tests they perform on your blood show up pos. The nurse told me, that I could call 2 days later to find out my blood type and cholesteral levels, etc, but I dont know if that meant, ALL of my tests would have been complete by that time. To me, it seems like that couldnt be possible, tho I do know there are HIV tests now that only take 5 minutes to get results. Anyhow...does anyone know how long it takes for a blood bank, and or when they would notify me? Im totally freaked out

i do not want to seem rude....so please don't think that i am. i just have no idea why you are so worried hun! i know that we can get an idea of something in our head and it can get stuck there. out of the millions and millions and millions and millions of blowjobs that are performed every DAY how many people do you think actually get HIV from this? i am not saying that it can not happen, it has from very particluar circumstances, but the chance that the person you were with was HIV+ is pretty darn slim, and the chance that you could have contracted HIV from oral sex even if he was + are just as slim. if you add those 2 odds together then you have a better chance of winning the lottery.
i don't know what the protocol of your state or that particular hospitial are. even if a person would test positive, they would call to tell you that you needed some further testing, not that you are +. that goes for other illnesses, not just HIV. so you can ethier relax and throw this out of your head, or actually get tested so you can look at that negative result every time you have doubts.

Hi, I'm sorry that appear to seem totally irrational, I know I probably seem that way. I had OCD as a kid, and I guess it never totally went away. However, there are reasons why it still bothers me. First of all, I had braces at the time. Secondly, he ejaculated, down my throat. It was a violent, unwanted, on my part, blow job. I asked for it to stop, on the one occasion I was let up for air, and he just shoved my head back down. As far as the guy actually having HIV...its not likely. I suppose it was just extremely traumatic for me. I dont have health insurance right now, and I just moved down to FL, I was offered the chance to go and donate blood, so I took the chance, so I could hopefully put a lot of fears to rest. As far as the possibility of me having any of the other diseases they test for....its just not possible really. I've lived a very clean life, probably b/c Im obessive compulsive  Those are my reasons. I'm young, I'm inexperienced, and totally paranoid. I keep a close eye on my health, probably too close of an eye. Thanks for replying to all of the messages Ive posted, Nyxin, I truly appreciate your care and input.

i am happy to try to be of some help. i guess the only thing that i can say is that if OCD has been a problem for you in the past, perhaps you should look into the possibility that it could be causing you these problems now. i am not a doctor, but it seems that many people that can not get HIV out of their heads have had a history with OCD. i was obsessed about it as well. i became very sick with an infection normally seen oly in patients with Leukemia or AIDS. they assumed i had been tested with my pregnancy, i had not. when they learned they did NOT test me for HIV i had to get tested right away. it is negative. i had slept with over 10 men, several times over 10 years with no protection. so i know how you can re-play every little thing to suggest when you could have gotten infected.
BTW i hope you reported what happened to someone! i am sorry you had to go through that. being a girl just isn't very fun sometimes. i wish you a forever time of health and happiness!

Dude you dont have HIV, not from a BJ you dont. Plus Even if you were infected two days ago or so, Red Cross will pick it up. They use the best test such as NAT and PCR Chain test for HIV. HIV cant be miss at all..
Check this out... If you dont get a CALL from them in 2 weeks. Than YOU pass RED CROSS BLood Supply.
If you get a call from them, than they might have some answers.
In 6 week, you should get your Donor Card. It means, you dont have HIV, HTLV, CMV, elevated ALT, Hep B, Hep C.
Your blood was test for all those with best test that it cant never miss a infection. They say that HIV can be missed on a blood, the ratio is 1 in 1000000. Think about it.
Stop Worrying and do some other stuff. Go get BJ, go kiss someone, go hug them, and go bang them with condom on , you wont get anything.
But if you want my opinion.. Dont do anything UNTIL you are married, man there are some crazy stuff out there.
people only talk about HIV and Herpes etc... But by Sexual contact you can get Stealth Virus, CMV, Human Herpes 6, 7, 8 and much more... Its just we dont talk about those stuff and they can cause CFS in many people.

Hi Hailey
I really really don't think you could have contracted HIV. However, it does sound like your OCD might be rearing its head again - so maybe you could take some steps to challenge it. Did you get any therapy in the past for it? Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can be good - it gives coping techniques and helps you conquer the thoughts before they take a hold of you.
