I wonder if my wisdom teeth are healing correctly. At this point my breath could probably petrify small animals. Is this normal? Rinsing my mouth with salt water every waking two hours does absolutely nothing. I've done everything the oral surgeon has said to do, and my meals have only been potatoes, ice cream, and scrambled eggs. It's been this way for about five days. Thank you.

They say a dry socket can cause bad breath. I was having very low pain on and off starting about 5-6 days after my extraction and I found out I had a dry socket. Check in with your dentist and he can see if everything is healing properly.
