hi, i had some problems after having my baby 11 months ago, i have finally got an appiontment to see neuro next week. IT started with tingling in vaginal areas, groin, inner legs, right side of back and also shooting pains and burning, twitches etc. I was wondering if any thing to do with my back could of caused this? i have been getting lower back pain lately and few sharp pains as if im on a period, its been puzzling me and has caused me alot of stress, any one got any advice? thanks, love april x

I'm not a doctor, but perhaps you damaged a disc or nerve during pregnancy or labor. The neuro will be able to tell you much better than anyone here.

I hope you find out quickly so you can address the problem, hopefully fix it, and enjoy your baby/soon to be toddler :)

You're going to need your strength, once those cuties start walking, watchout! They are a blast. I hope you've been able to enjoy the first year. That was one of my favorite years. All the cuddling and sweet baby smells.

If you need moral support, you've come to the right place.

Good luck to you,
Julie

Hi! I herniated a disk during pregnancy or delivery with my son. Not sure which, but ever since I have suffered from minor low back pain, HORRIBLE crippling sciatica, and neuropathies in my foot.... no fun at all.

The good news is, I'm 23 and they don't recommend surgery for me. So after several months of treatment with physical therapy and meds I am doing much better. It comes and goes, but it's always bareable. (Now!)

If you are young and in good health otherwise, I would strongly recommend not letting them talk you into surgery right away. I know too many young people who opted for surgery and ended up with multiple surgeries down the road.

Good luck!!! And enjoy your little one. Mine just turned 14 months today. How the time flies!

This could most surely be from your back and I would urge you to make an appointment with a spine specialist, so you can get an MRI and find out. Some of your symptoms are worrisome and need to be checked out so that you can get on a course of action and enjoy that beautiful baby!

Lots of luck, and please let us know.
