where exactly in your spine is this located?Did they say anything about just what type of cyst this is?I had/have what is called a cavernous hemangioma up in the C-7,T-1 area.Did not know it was even there until i had an MRI done a few years ago to find the herniated disc I knew I had somewhere up there.Marcia

Hi There, I was dx by MRI with having a spinal cyst as well in the sacral area. The neurosurgeon called it a Tarlov's cyst and he says that it is basically something that you are born with and that it is benign. They usually dont remove them unless they get so painful that you cant stand it. Hope i may have been of some help. Good luck. Valleygurl

I've had two spinal cord cysts in the area of T6-T7-T8. It depends on where your cyst is located, the type of cyst it is and the length of time you had it as to what you can expect. If you think I can help. Please ask any questions and I'll relate to you what I've experienced.
