For the past 5 years or so, the inside of my ears has itched and itched like no one's business, and it drives me crazy. From paper clips to hairpins to pen caps to screwdrivers...all of these and more have found their way into my ears to scratch the bejesus out of them. And as a result, I have bled many times from nicking the skin.

I did have an ear infection earlier this year, but this was at a time when my ear was leaking a clear fluid. But I got rid of the infection with the help of antibiotics.

But about the itching...any ideas as to what's causing it?

I had that same problum for many years.Found out it was an allergy.To
CheeseWhiz.I'd been eating it for years on my morning toast.My ears would get infected becauce of the scratching So many years of drugs and the contant itching I did a elimiation test/Sure enough it was the cheese.It was also cheese slices from the same company.It seems to bee there dye they are using.I can eat hard cheese with no problum.Just can't eat thier stuff.That was ten years ago and still ears are clear.It could be something else check out some alleries
