ive heard that when ur on ur period u weigh more. is this true? i really hope it is otherwise im going to be very mad at myself, any answer helps guys

No this isnt true. The thing is though, you may FEEL like you weigh more when on your period because you tend to retain more water (not exactly sure why).

hold on, if you retain more water aren't you going to therefore weigh more? wont the scale reflect the fact that you have extra water in you?

I think you may weigh a little more. I would say water weight though.

Hey!! I can answer this question!:D I was just on my period and despite me not having hardly any food i was 3lbs heavier....some people do retain quite a lot of water- others don't have that problem...i think it depends on how heavy your period is (mine was quite heavy at first)....:) Guys have an easy life, dont they?;)

well i havent had my period for 2 years but i do remember feeling heavier and more bloated when i had it

yeah for me i always weighed a couple lbs more for the 1st few days of my period and then my weight would go bk to normal...but thats just me :p

You definitely weigh 2-3 lbs more when you are on your period because of water retention. If you eat a lot of sodium you also retain water which can make the scale read higher. Weight fluctuates a lot so don't be scared if one day you weigh a few lbs more. Chances are, it's not fat!
