I Really Got Positive Reviews About This Board So That Is Why I Decided To Post, But It Seems People Just Want To Search And Read And Offer Only Help To Those That Appeal To Them In Some Way. I Have Posted On Several Discussions And Have Not Received Any Responses. It Is A Shame That I Was Told This Board Was A Great Place To Get Support And Information From People Going Through The Same Things You Or A Loved One Is Going Through. Even If It Is Just "i Am Sorry To Hear What You Are Going Through" Would Be Great For Anyone To Know That Someone Replied At Least. But To Go Back Days After You Posted And Not Even One Reply Really Stinks. Sorry I Was Frustrated!!!

Wrong forum. I believe this belongs in the anger management one.

well nicole miller. sometimes people dont always know how to help you. people come here to ask questions so those people outnumber the people who are here to answer those questions. everyonce and a while you get someone who understands your topic and can help. looking at your posts, you have gotten quite a few replies. keep trying i guess. it really is a helpful board though so dont get discouraged

Thans Red Bull for a sensitive and thoughtful reply not like the one August Pt1 gave me. This is where I posted and to those that read this Health Issue, those are the ones I am talking to. Gee if you had only responded to my first thread. It is so much easier to respond to the negative than the positive it seems in some people.

Nichole, I am sorry you haven't got the responses that you wanted or expected. I too have posted and had no replies here, but I take it that people just don't have a clue as to an answer for me. I have personally responded to this question of yours on another board, a while back. Best wishes :)

This is my first viewing of the STROKE forum...
What I FIRST saw was an all caps complaint without stating a problem...
The only thing I've learned is that the original poster is unhappy.

Nicole, why are you so unhappy...and with WHOM, or WHAT?
Pardon the fact that I have no history here...no first posters DO.

Nichole,

No stroke doesnt have age discrimination exactly, but it is not as prevelant in younger people. I read on the board concerning your friend, your doctors are ruling out stroke/etc. It is possible that she may even have Bell's palsy, which symptoms include facial paralysis. Stress is a major factor.

Thank you Crabby Road. I tell her to look into Bell's Palsy. I know she is going for her MRI on the 18th. Do you think it will show up there or is it an autoimmune disease?

No it is not an autoimmune disease. Usually they can tell in the MRI if there is nerve damage to the cranial nerve VII. This is the nerve that gives the features of a stroke (absent a stroke). We have a friend that has Bell's palsy, that one side of his face gets the "facial paralysis", drooping eye on one side, mouth is also pulled down on one side, etc. It clears up after awhile, but he gets intermittent bouts of it under stress. He also still has feelings in his face, and it not totally numb from the paralysis features. I hope your friend gets a definitive diagnosis soon and makes a good recovery.
