View Full Version : Weird discloration on molar

One of my molars has this weird greenish-grey stain, starting at the gumline and moving up part of the tooth. I just noticed it last night, and I KNOW it hasn't always been there. It doesn't come off when I brush. I can't think of what might cause it, except I got my wisdom teeth out in June, and the molar is right next to where one of the wisdom teeth used to be.
Does anyone know what might have caused this, and how to fix it?

If nothing's wrong with the tooth, it could always just be a stain on there and your dentist might be able to polish it off.

It could be a stain, and the dentist can polish it way (though since its in the back there really isn't any need to) or it could mean that there was some sort of trauma to your tooth and the root is dying... as long as it isn't hurting, you should not be too worried, but mention your concern to your dentist at your next apointment.
