Lettie, I had two filled Tues at 8:45 AM and the dentist said to give it about 24 hours and then I could chew on that side. He also said my gums would be sore for a few days from the needle , they are, and that those teeth might be sensitive to hot and cold for awhile, they're not. Lia

I had two fillings replaced two months ago and am still having ALOT of sensitivity with them. Anything cold on them and the pain is just horrible for a minute or so. I have had them grinded down a couple of times for the bite pain but the sensitivity is still there.
Usually, though, I can eat normally on the new fillings after a couple of days with no problems.
