I recently had a UTI. I took the pills that the doctor gave, but the symptoms seemed to come back every once in a while. Well, yesterday the symptoms came back very badly. I was in class and I had to get up 4 times to pee with in one hour... and when I got to the bathroom, I only had to urinate a tiny bit each time or not at all. After squirming all day through my class, I went back to the doctor and he tested me again for a UTI. He said that there were some white cells or something in my urine...but he didn't say that it was a UTI. He said he'd give me some more pills anyway because thats what they do. He asked me if I was having any pain in my back. I wasn't yesterday, so I said no. However when I woke up today, my lower back was bothering me. I don't know if I just slept on it funny or what. I have to do a little bit of lifting at work also. So I don't know if I should go back in and get this checked out or not. Could this be a kidney infection? Will the mediction he gave me for a UTI help this problum if it is... so should I go back in? I know a girl who had a kidney infection and she ended up fainting and had to stay in the hospital for quite sometime.
Does anyone know if there are any other symptoms of a kidney infection?
Any advice on what I should do. I dont' want to go back to the doc if it's nothing. I mean if he thought I was a risk for a kidney infection wouldn't he have tested me for one when I was there? Should I just take the medicine he gave me and then if I don't get better go back in. He said if it doesn't go away this time, then they would have to do some tests on me.
Has anyone here ever had a kidny infection?
Thanks, any advice or input would be great. I'm kind of scared.
Could these symptoms be caused by a kidney stone?
