does anyone know how to reduce shiney skin?

people have said use toner during the day but wouldnt this irratate the skin, usin it more than twice a day, because if you cleanse more than that it can cause spots...

also, i dont really want to carry toner in bag with me becaus emy bag is heavy enuf lol...and if i have make up on i dont really want to ave to re apply it....does anyone have any suggestions?
