yes ima guy and i wanna wear makeup. yea you have a problem with that hehe jp. anyway i dont wanna but i wanna hide my acne red marks and uneven skin tone. so im guessing foundation is all i need? i dont wnana go crazy here and use powder too. im not sure but what usually gives it away that someone is wearing makeup. is it the foundation or the powder? anyway whats a good foundation that i can find at a local drugstore that will hide red marks really well and give me an even skin tone. my main concern is getting rid of the red areas all over my face. so is there any specific makeup thats really good for redness. ok and the most important factor. a foundation that is UNDETECTABLE and un-noticable. under sun, rain, light, flourescent light, everything. i would rather get a foundation that gives 10% coverage and makes me look that 10% better and is 100% natural looking and undetectable over one that gives 100% coverage and is only 90% undetectable hehe. i cant stand my face looking red and uneven. im using other products to help with this but in the meantime maybe a makeup will give me some confidence. ok sorry for posting this i know this is a hard question since everyone is different and its only by trial and error that you find the right makeup but im a guy here and i would feel really uncomfortable going back and forth buying makeup. i just wanna go in knowing what im looking for and out. btw my skin is combination skin, dry in most areas oily in the t zone. has any of you guys ever noticed a guy wearing makeup and what do you think bout it. well if you still reading this then you read lot. thanks alot

I would recommend using a tinted acne cream like Neutrogena's On The Spot (tinted formula) or just a tinted moisturizer... but make sure that it's oil free

I agree that a tinted moisturizer would be your best bet "make up" wise. But your should probably look into correcting the problem instead of covering it up. Get yourself set up with some good skin care. Use the make up short term but think long term as well.

i suggest u get on a sunbed if ur skins uneven and spoty or a fake tan would be better than make-up for a man but if your really desperate to cover up i would,nt suggest any kind of foundation coz even the lightest foundation shows i would use a concealer

revlon colorstay concealer is the best as long as u get the perfect color for ur skin it sets in 60 secs of putting it on so u got to do little bits at a time and it will not rub off or anything its really good for covering spots and red patches

its a must buy for ayone with spots

I'd be careful with tinted moisturizers. Make sure they don't contain any comedogenic ingredients or you will have a worse problem than ever. I've never really been satisfied with the coverage they give either. Personally I think mineral foundation is your best option for good coverage and a natural look that won't give it away as makeup.

Have you tried ProActive? I hear alot of good things about this product. Not only is it for acne or acne scars it is said to give your skin a smooth even tone. The product is for men or women and you won't melt in the rain because it is not a makeup. Hope it helps you good luck...

Bare escentuals powder foundation in my opinion has the best coverage of any I've used and is barely detectable if put on with a light hand. They have many different colors for different types of skin. You can't buy it in stores, but you can get it on some of the shopping network sites. You can also get it on e-Bay (where I get mine). Hope this helps!

Have you read this post:

"Make up on Males" Posted by travyzm

It's located on the Beauty & Cosmetics Board (this board) at:

http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/Forum15/HTML/001105.html

There is a LOT of junk mixed in with the posts, but there is also some good make-up advice for males. If you can sift through it all, you should be able to find some good tips to use along with the information you gather through this post! I know I replied to that post, and some (not all) of my tips would be the same for you! :)

Definitely read anything about Dermablend, a unisex foundation that is specially formulated to cover birthmarks, scars, acne, etc.

Good luck! (Any more questions??) :)
