hi, i get really itchy skin when ever i shower (99% of the time), its about 5 mins after i dry myself.
it fully drives me nuts, this just leads to me not showering as much as i really should :nono:

i was wondering if this happens to any one else and if they have found any thing that would help?

after reading some stuff it may be dry skin? my skin doesnt really seem dry..... there is also no rashes or red marks.....

thanks

Maybe it's the kind of soap or body wash you use? Some body washes I use cause my arms and legs to get pretty itchy so I have to avoid those.

Hi

I also get this. For me it is caused by sun exposure. When the summer starts and I get some sun, say about after 3 – 4 weeks after I get a terrible itch after a shower. The itch may last for ½ an hour or so and then stops. There is nothing to se, no rash or anything. It will then continue for months. The older I have got the less sun exposure it takes to start this.

Also a solarium will do the same after 3 - 4 visits.

Could yours be related?

Do you take really hot showers?

If you use a deodorant soap, that will make your skin itch.. Use a soap with a moisturizer in it. Also the hotter the water the drier the skin.
Mix a little vaseline and a mild, not perfumed lotion together. Use after each shower will stop the itch forever.
