Hi just found this site. Now i know i'm not alone.
Been dizzy for 6yr more off than on till this year. I havent driven since april my car turned into chitty chitty bang bang.
Going for a audio in october, so i fell somethings finaly happening. When i feel like my heart is thumping but like its just about to stop {but hasn't obviously} is that anxiety. Nice to Know you bye the way.

Hi Maz,

Welcome to the Boards! You definitely are not alone, as you can tell by just reading these posts.

Most of the posters on here also experience anxiety on some level; it's a "side-effect" (if you will, ha), of having these kinds of symptoms. My anxiety was so bad at one point that I was fearful of even leaving the house unless I was accompanied by a family member.

So yes, feeling your thumping heart, and feeling like it might stop, is probably just anxiety showing itself.

There is a good book out by Dr. Claire Weekes called 'Hope and Help for Your Nerves'; it's about $9. That, and some counseling to learn to deal with the anxiety, helped me quite a bit.

PS - I've had my woozy head for almost 10 years. I know how you feel.
