There are a lot of factors that come into play. Where the cancer is for instance. The colon is a long item and treatment will have some dependancy on where the tumour is. The size of the tumour and whether or not it has spread to the outer wall of the colon or beyond to metastasis.

Treatments include surgery, radiation and chemo. Chemo meds also depend on how advanced the cancer was. 5fu and leucovorin treatment is common but more aggressive meds are used when required.
