OK girls,

I have bought several "lip shining" glosses but nothing looks as shiny like what girls are wearing in the magazines. What are they using????! I want that really "wet" look, almost like glass. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I dont know if any of you read Honey magazine but Brandy is on the cover this month and she has super shiny lips.

In the magazine they do A LOT with computers, they can digitally make their lips look that shiny. I've noticed as long as you take care of your lips, and they're in great condition if you apply any lip gloss it looks like glass, but not for a long time, you need to constantly re-apply. My friend uses vaseline, its really greasy on the lips but looks great.

Try L'Oreal's GLASS SHINE, it is really super shiny but thick enough that it doesn't come right off. I have the color honey halo and I like it a lot.

I agree with Gummi. Magazines are all fluff, so they could be using anything from Vaseline to cooking oil. I too like the shiny look, so I swear by:
1) Cargo lip gloss
2) MAC lipglass
3) Wet n'Wild clear gloss
Plain old Vaseline is good too. Even those 99 cent roll on glosses that you find at hair salons fair pretty well.

VASOLINE. I used to model and do beauty pageants and we were always told to put vasoline on our teeth to make us smile bigger and brighter and on our lips to help them look healthier and shinier. I hope this helps. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/angel.gif

Elizabeth Arden makes a "Chrystel Clear" Lip Gloss.
It comes in a little squeeze tube. This stuff makes your lips look so glass-like. Use sparingly, if you glop it on your lips can become sticky. Just tab on the bottom lip in the center, and it creates a really shiney pout. My boy-friend says my lips look amazing when I wear it.

HI there...ok...number ONE is MAC Lipglass...or I think they have something even shinier called MAC laquer...it's like patent leather for your lips...nothing does the job better...try Chroma Camel..I hear it's great!!!

I agree MAC lipglass is the absolute #1... ENJOY!

I also agree, MAC lipglass is awesome! Just dont go out on a windy day with long hair, it will get stuck in it, it's very sticky!! I make sure I only wear it if its not windy or if I'm wearing my hair up http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

there's a new one called Mega Shine by loreal... its shiny and has tiny sparkles in it. dont apply too much of it. just a lil dab will look great.

If you want that HIGH gloss shine, try RIMMEL'S VINYL LIP! It's cheap($2.00-$3.00)! You WILL get the high, glass shine! I have tried most lip glosses, trust me! Sometimes the cheaper stuff works wonders!

P.S: Rimmel stuff is sold at Wal-Mart!

Mac Lipglass is awesome. Stila also makes a lip gloss that comes in a tube that works great as well.

Bonne Bell makes a great lip gloss that is inexpensive - it comes in a wand with a brush on the end and you have to click it to squeeze out the gloss - very shiny!

try the Maybelline Wet Diamonds lip gloss...it looks really shiny

I like Lancome's Juicy tubes. They give a nice shine and pretty color (i like simmer). They are a tad expensive though at about $17 per tube.

I agree that Juicy tubes are fab. Maybelline's Fruity Jelly is also really nice...shiny without being too sticky.

Juicy tubes by Lancolm are great. Hardly a day goes by that I don't use it on top of my lipstick. It is costly but worth it to me. Margaret

That Rimmel's Vinyl lip gloss is really nice..I tried cause you suggested it. Cosmic is the color and it is quite nice. Thanks!

I also agree w/ everyone else, go w/ MAC lipglass! Its the best shiniest lipgloss I've ever used!
