Remember me? I am the one who posted the topic about which high priced foundation is the best.. Chanel, Prescriptives or Estee?
Well, my car broke down last week and needed $900 worth of repair. Needless to say, I could not afford $50 foundation! A co worker of mine swore by Cover girl Aqua smooth foundation. I blew it off b/c I didn't think cover girl would ever be good enough to cover all these hideous red marks and scars and b/c it was one of those creme to powder foundations. I've always used liquid. I went to WalMart the other day and decided, what the hell, and spent the $7 on it. Wow... I am IMPRESSED!!! This stuff is awesome. It takes about 2 minutes to apply and blend compared to the 15 it took me to apply liquid. It covers beautifully!! I didn't even need that much concealer on my blemishes and scars. And I have already gotten THREE compliments on it today!! I can't believe I was going to spend all that money when this stuff was $7 and right under my nose....
Has anyone else tried this???

I really liked AquaSmooth foundation alot. I liked the coverage, the ease, and the finish. The only thing I didn't like it it seemed to settle in my fine line(forehead & eyes) after a few hours and make them really obvious. For those of you under 20 or naturally blessed, I'd say it's a great product.

I am 23 but I have fine lines too. I lightly powder it w/ Merle Norman Translucent loose powder and that helps "keep it in place". :)

That's good to know that you're my age and have some lines too. Isn't it absolutely amazing how rapidly your skin goes from perfect youthful and firm to aging? I've always taken relatively good care of mine, but it seems like after 19 or 20 it was downhill fast! I'll have to try setting it with the powder.

Hey Misty:
That sounds great. Sadly I am twice your age(almost OMG!). Anyway, sorry to hear that it may settle in my lines although after all these years on Retin A I don't have many, so maybe I could try this in a pinch. Wish I would have read this earlier........I went to the mall today and when money comes around for you again you may wanna look into Estee Lauder's Double Wear(for us problem skin girls). Really nice staying power, good shine control during the day, but it gives medium coverage, so those looking for a sheer look, this is NOT for you. I sampled it for a week B4 buying it to test for break outs , and so far so good, so I splurged for it. Just thought I'd share. Enjoy your CG foundation, and hope your car is all better! :)
