View Full Version : Different brands of make-up?

I was reading a post about good drugstore make-up and I noticed that a lot of people (almost everyone who responded) use several different brands of make-up on their faces.

I know I use Mary Kay cleanser, foundation and eye liner - Neutrogena blush and mascara, Rimmel or Cover Girl eyeshadow and for lipstick I use Revlon and Neutrogena - at the same time - it gives my lips a different shade.

I guess I'm just curious to see if I'm the only one who uses so many different products. I've been doing it for years so I can't imagine that it's bad for my skin (unless someone proves otherwise).

Anyone else out there do this too? If so, how many different kinds do you use?

Hi Betty
I believe you read my post about drugstore makeup :)
I also use different product brands. Its very common for people to do that. So, no, your not alone. I use different cleansers, moisterizers, lipstick, blush.... Just about everything I have is from a different company except for 2 items.

Betty, I also use many brands of makeup, cleansers, etc. I am always ready to try a new product and find that I have favorites from many different brands. I prefer foundations from cosmetic counters in department stores, especially Prescriptives and Estee Lauder, but most of my cleansers are drugstore items. I have found some very good products from TV shopping channels and use them. :) It would be interesting to hear comments from other readers.

Yep, me too - Neutrogena foundation/pressed powder, Maybelline mascara, Loreal and Cover Girl eye shadows, and then Revlon skin lights. Of course don't usually wear it all at once, but overall that's what I use.
