Hi ladies...

I have very long (past the bra strap), thick, naturally wavey hair. To get the best look, here is what I do every other day (I wash and condition every other day):

1.Wash and condition w/ generic version of Biolage from Sally's (I gently pick it out while conditioner is still in hair)
2.Squeeze excess water out which takes about 3 minutes b/c I've got so much hair
3.Wrap in towel (for about 15 minutes)
4.Apply quarter sized amount of Frizz Ease all over
5.Apply Gel all over by sections
6.Apply Biolage glaze all over by sections
7.Apply Frizz Ease mouuse very librally!
8.Scrunch for 5 minutes then apply fantasia liquid mousse
9.Air dry for 30 minutes then scrunch more w/ fantasia super hold hairspray

Wow... is that crazy or what?? But I have to do this to get my hair to look the way I want it. There is rarely a day that goes by I don't get a compliment. Not to be conceited... it's like the only think I have going for me! But am I doing too much to it??? I "shed" A LOT and I have to trim the ends once every two months....

You should shed! On average, you should lose between 80-120 hairs a day. And if you're not washing your hair every day then some of those hairs build up and you have two days worth of hair loss you're looking at in the shower.

With all the product you use, you might want to invest in a super clarifying shampoo and use it at least once a month. A really good on is Paul Mitchell's T3, superclarifying shampoo. Follow with a light weight conditioner, that won't weigh your hair but will at least leave it manageable. The Paul Mitchell line is great when it comes to products. They have gloss drops, and if you mix them with a little bit of mousse, it works wonders for control! Look into it, but just remember that hair loss is normal and the clarify at least once a month!

If you're still worried, consult a professional to make sure the "shedding" is at a normal amount! Good luck!
