I had my kidney stones in 2003 and the surgery to remove them in jan. 2004. since then, i admit, i'm overly paranoid over another stone, but now, i'm starting to feel things that i know isn't right.
i don't have any abnormal back pain. because i'm a big woman, i do have back pain, but once my boyfriend massages my back and gets the knots out, i'm good as new. I don't have an urgent need to urinate, other than when i've drank 4 glasses of water and it's all ready to be released at once, but otherwise, no abnormal need to urinate. i also don't have any burning when i do urinate.
i don't, knock on wood, have that colicky pain, where i'm in agony for 4 hours and then it goes away and the only relief is hot bath after hot bath and singing happy songs to myself. honestly, that worked for me, whenever the horrible pain would strike, and i felt like i had to urinate every 3 seconds despite an empty bladder, i would sing songs to calm down.
but, what i do have is an on again, off again pressure feeling in my pelvic area. it's on the left side and sorry if this too graphic, but it's sorta even with my clitoris, except, it feels like it's on the side and not right there in the middle. just trying to give an idea where it's located. it feels like something is pushing me and then it lets up, pushes again, lets up. does that for a few minutes, then goes away. either goes away on it's own or goes away because i took ibuprofen to make it go away. today, i have not taken anything, but it has come and gone. yesterday, i took 2400mg of ibuprofen to make it go away.
also, if i shake my leg or move a wrong way, it does the pushing, but if i don't do anything, it doesn't bother me. so, this morning, i woke up, because i turned over on my side and it started to bother me. when i took the hot bath this mornig, when the water was going into that area, it hurt, but when the water stopped going into the tub, the pushing went away.
so, i know im rambling and probably confused the heck out of you all, but is there any idea what this is?? my boyfriend suggested maybe a small stone, small enough to cause the pushing, but too small to cause the other problems i had with the first stone last year.
this all started thursday night when i was in bed.
thanks!
