Hi i have posted before about a constant chest and throat congestion now for months and i finally went to my doc and she said i had allergies and asthma with mild bronchitis so she gave me z-pack 5 day, and allegra which i have been taking and i am going tonight to get my albuterol inhaler, well i am done the z-pack now about a week and i still have congestion and i am thinking if it was bronchitis wouldnt my congestion be gone and what is this inhaler really gonna help me with the congestion??? I was just wondering i guess if anyone has used that for congestion either?
thanks alot

Hi. You need to call your doc and tell her/him you still have a lot of congestion. Be sure to drink LOTS of fluids to break up the mucus, esp. water, hot decaffeinated tea and hot soup.

You'll have to return back to your doc- it is possible that the stuff that he gave u isn't enough to clear it up. when I had bronchitis i was given antibiotics and steroids (it was VERY bad)...the inhalers helped me breathe and helped clear my airways...but...yeh....seriously, make another appointment, something doesnt sound right if nothing has helped with what u have been given so far.
