I am having sooo much trouble!! I have always shaved my bikini area, but I still to this day get the razor burn and it seems like my hair growth is expanding!! :eek: I have thought about getting a wax job because I've heard that there no embarssing bumps http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif and that not only can it take longer for the hair to grow back in, but it can come in thinner. Has anyone done this? I'm not really worried about the pain (and yes I know there will be plenty of it)I just want to STOP the spreading of the growth and not have the pain of razor burn that lasts for days and days. i wax once a month i do it myself i do the whole area not just the bikini area u have to learn doing it urself

I've heard from some girls that they get those bumps and ingrown hairs from waxing just as they do with shaving. Is this true?

When you wax the hair will start to come in softer as well. Yes, you can still some some skin irritation but it doesnt last long. Also its not the red bumpy skin either.

i don't use wax i use sugar.i do it myself.no,its not like shaving it turns out to be smooth and clean but after 2 weeks the hair begins to grow back i get some ingrowns not a lot though.if u r really interested in doing it urself i'll give u all the details.brave girls do it on their own ;)

ok for the sugar recipe there r lots of recipes over the internet just type sugaring.
i don't have exact measurements for the sugar so it would be better to get it over the internet.
now i have to remind u it is painful. if u r doing the bikini area thats no big deal.
fisrt the area has to be clean no lotions or oil , dust with powder then spread the sugar with a spatula "applying in the direction of the hair growth, Apply your strip(cotton cloth) and rub with firm strokes 3 or 4 times. HOLD THE SKIN TAUGHT and pull the strip off quickly. This is important. Also, when you remove the strip, pull it off parallel to the skin, do not pull away from the skin."
if u want to do the whole pubic area start with small parts.
ur first time will be hard. i found a lot of sites over the internet.there is a site called body sugaring very informative.
believe me sugaring is worth it hair grows back thinner.
