Has anyone ever had a chemical straightner by Aveda done before? It is suppose to restore your hair and make it silky and soft, not like all the other chemical straightners that damage your hair. I think its because it has no amonia in it or some other harsh chemical, not sure. Has anyone had this one done or heard of one like it thats suppose to straighten and make your hair silky too?

Have you ever thought of just using a hair straightner. I have a perm in my hair and sometimes I want it to be straight, and it makes it really silky and smooth. Hot Tools has a really good one, and I think its probably much safer and cheaper on your hair.

I had the thermal recondition (japanese hair straightening; yuko) done in December and I LOVE IT!! My hair looks healthier than before. It lasts 6-8 months. I don't ever want to go without it. My hair never frizzes, is always straight and shiny. I had it done in LA. Just do a google search and you'll find info on it.
