Do you have to actually use both sides ie one side first then the other? what is the order. Or does the two sided brush just automatically do its stuff!

I have Estee Lauder "Illusionist" curling mascara, and the brush is the same all the way around. Would you please explain what you mean? Thanks!

some of them have a flat side and a curved side - one is said to curl and one to lengthen. I have never specifically used one side first then the other, so wonder if it is necessary to do so for full effectiveness
