I want to start using a face cream, but I really have no clue on what to try... So, I'm hoping you ladies can tell me what you're using, and why you like it :)
Oh, and if you're using an eye cream, please tell me about that too!

Janette:
First of all, how old are you? Also, what concerns do you have about your skin? Eg. fine lines, flaking skin, break outs, etc. or are you looking for an all purpose day cream?
I've used all different creams, trying to find the "right one". Some are definitely better than others. Right now, every other day, I'm using Retisol-A with SPF 15 (avail. by prescription) for my fine lines and sunspots. LOVE IT!! Took about 3 months to see results. On the other days I use Olay Complete Care Daily UV Protection Moisturizing Cream or Lotion. At night, I use Eliz.Arden Ceramide Time Complex Moisture cream on my neck (very creamy and rich) and an anti-aging serum on my face. Under my eyes, Clinique's Moisture Surge Eye Gel.
Hope this helps you.

I use drmatically different moisturizer by Clinique, it's the best! They also have a great eye cream too that I can't remember the name off the top of my head. Oh yeah, the reason why I like the cream so much is that I have norm to oily skin and I tend to break out when I put any kind of moisturizer on my face...I have yet to see a pimple since I've started using this cream.

Thanks for the feedback. :)
girlgato, I'm 16. I think what I'm looking for is something that will help prevent wrinkles, and at the same time moisturize my face. I never put anything on my face before.. but I think it could use something.
As for my eyes.. well, I've had dark circles under them for years. Drinking water (and i mean ALOT of water) didn't help. Sleeping more didn't help. I don't drink or do drugs. So, I don't really know what's causing them, or how to get rid of them.
Is there a cream that any of you know about that would help get rid of under-eye circles?

I have used AVON RICH MOISTURE CREAM for 40 years and really do look younger than 56 years old. It really works. Never had a break out neither. For under dark circles just use a concealer stick.

:) My daughter is 17 and she uses the Clinque line. It's a little more expensive than the stuff you can buy at stores like Walmart or Target.... but she has sensitive skin with break-out problems and the clinque has really helped get it all under control. The dramatically different lotion works well on teens skin too....

Hi, it's me again. I just saw a TV show and the guest mentioned St. Ives Vitamin K Dark Circle Diminisher Under Eye Treatment for dark circles. Have not tried it myself.
Other than that, like the others above have posted, get yourself a good undereye concealer - try Cover Girl's invisible concealer or their Fresh complexion undereye concealer. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/gabby.gif

Hi again. :)
Thanks for the suggestions!
Yeah, I have been using a concealer stick (Max Factor's "Erace") to cover the dark circles. It does work pretty well.. I'm just hoping that there's something I can use to actually get rid of them for good. I'll just have to go out and try all of those products that claim to reduce them until I find something that works, I suppose.
My face isn't super-sensitive or acne prone.. it's just sort of dry.
Maude, thank you for replying! I think that's what I may be looking for. Something that will keep me looking young.. hopefully something to help fight wrinkles, you know?
Thanks to all of you though. :)
I think I have some shopping to do! But feel free to keep adding products here.. a good list of creams would be good for this board, I think :)

For over 20yrs I used Avon Rich Moisturizer but then I suddenly developed a problem with fragrances that were near my face so I had to stop, I think it held off the aging process for a long time but I now use St Ives Collagen-Elastin essential moisturizer at night and I love it and during the day I just use cocoa butter lotion. I'm always searching for something even better than I what I have, seems like as I get older I feel like anti aging rage is keeping the anxiety up for us to look like 20 when we are 50.
