Does anyone else suffer from really, super dry (almost scaly) scalp now? I believe, although no Dr. agrees, that I'm in peri. I have dry patches behind my ears, in my ears, all over my scalp...it almost feels like I can scratch off big "pimples" of dried skin. My skin overall is drier no matter WHAT I put on topically (and I drink at least 9 8oz glasses of water a day, usually more like 11).
I've always had very healthy scalp & hair so this one is freaking me out a little. My hair is dryer than it's ever been as well. It comes for a couple of months and then seems better for a while.
HELP! Is this a peri symptom or do I have some other freaky, weird thing going on as well? I also have rheumatoid arthritis but the rheumatologist says this isn't related to that...Z'smom

It either can be from medicine or it can be Sirioasis, i dont' think I spelled that correctly. Usually it causes dry patches, can itch or become soar. I would go and see a dermatologist. It's not usual to get skin problems during perimenopause or menopause.
