I have pain under my left rib cage, very sore there & goes thru to my back in the same area. Had a baby 7 months ago, which is when it all started - the night before I had the baby. Have not gotten a diagnosis yet, but I've been trying. The pain is really intense. Had heart checked out, abdominal CT, etc, nothing found as of yet. Also have pain in my flank area on both sides intermittent. Had IVP of kidneys as well and showed nothing. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia but not sure if this rib/back pain is from it. Do have GERD for several years and small hiatal hernia that was diagnosed in 2002. Have lots of gas so don't know if this is digestive or muscle or nerve. ER doc said it was costochondritis but you would think the inflammation would go away after 7 months of it. Anti-inflammatories have not helped. Recently started receiving steroid injections into thoracic spine and had some trigger point injections into muscle today. Hope it helps but last round a few weeks ago didn't, although we didn't do trigger point injections then. Docs don't seem to take the situation seriously. There has to be something causing the pain. I've also heard that hiatal hernia shouldn't cause pain, but I really have to wonder. The pain also sometimes goes down my left arm. It's just like something is pressing on a nerve. Had an MRI of spine & no pinched nerves coming off spine. Anyone else have this same pattern of pain?
