Hi

I am 23 years old and about to be married in a month. I had my first kidney stone in may of last year. I beleive I am getting another one, but I am very worried bacause the pain is on my right side and i am worried about appendicitis. I am pretty positive it is kidney stones, but i need some advice. The pain is on my right side , but seems to be moving further to my side toward my back. I have no pain while urinating, but neither did i last time. I have no health insurance so i dont want to go to the doctor, and cannot afford another hospital bill if one does strike. Can someone please give me some advice on treating them if i get one. Can the doctor prescribe something to alleviate the pain if I do get one? Any help would be useful.
Thanks abunch!

Yes, your doctor can prescribe something alleviate pain. Drink as much water as you can to flush out the stone. Try drinking 8 or more glasses of water a day, this will help the most. I had my appendix out when I was real young, generally, the pain is in front only and does not begin at the kidney area, but I'm not a doctor so this is something you need to check out, I wouldn't play with the appendix. I understand that once you produce stones, you can keep producing them until they find the inbalance and either prescribe pottasium to balance the calcium or if it is uric, then by diet, etc.

Hope this helps you.

Andrea
