Hey everyone I have a question my daughter cayla 22 months old diagnosed ASD has had dark circles under her eyes since she was 6 months old. Some days they look worse than others. I thought it was the milk allergy so we have her on the gf/cf diet and eliminated all her allergies. The dark circles are still there and are actually worse right now. She does have allergies but she is taking periactin for them. She takes melatonin at night which helps her sleep but i still dont think she is sleeping great. I was wondering if it could be phenols does anyone here know much about phenols. I ordered the NO-Fenol enzyme it should be here tomorrw. She eats a lot of mashed vegetables. Her favorite is peas which is high in phenols. I am hoping they clear up. It makes her look really sick. Any advice would be wonderful. thanks

I got this from another group that I belong to.
"Generally, the racoon eyes, or dark circles, indicate that something is not
agreeing with the body (could be a detox reaction, food or chemical
intolerance, yeast, phenol intolerance)."
I hope that this has helped!

Yeah, I was gonna say that it could be yeast and also the phenols... My son also has them, and like you said, they vary form day to day... soooo look into the yeast treatment and try to give more "white" foods they are lower in phenols and are easier on them....

There was something mentioned to me about black walnuts and that they can help eliminate yeast problems.
