View Full Version : Late & Concerned

I just finished up my last birth control pill on July 17, 2004 & I had a normal period exactly 30 days later. Figuring at thirty days, I should have started my period last Friday, but 4 days later & still nothing. I have occasional light cramping like I could start, but that's it. Would it be usual to be late this month after already having one normal period after going off the pill? The only reason I'm concerned is because last Thursday I took Tylenol Severe Allergy, & I am currently on steroid eye drops as well as antibiotic eye drops for an eye infection. I am hoping I'm just late for this month only for the reason I'm scared of what this medicine may have done if I am pregnant. I would really appreciate advice!

Dont' worry about it! When I got off the pill I got my period on time the first time and then it was everyother month after that! Its normal your body is trying to readjust to not having the hormones pushed into it and is trying to work on its own.
I thought i was pregnant everyother month and then i had enough im back on the pill!
To make you feel better i'd take a hpt but If your body is working like mine did and according to my doc pretty much all of the women coming off BCP you are fine! Don't over stress your self and enjoy not getting your period some months! Hope I was helpful!

Everybody is different. but my fertility cane back very quickly-within a month of quiting the pill. as for the tylenol and eye drops they wont make a differeance in your pregnancy if prehaps you are pg. Any other drug ,Rx or other wise ask your doc about it but only after your sure that your pg. I reccomend getting a home pg test like Answer from walgreens its creaper than other brands but works really well. Chin up. It all comes out in the wash ... as grandma says. :)
