This is just a general question regading the Pill and weight gain. How many of you have gained weight while on the Pill? How much (if you don't mind sharing, sorry if too personal)? If you didn't gai weight, did you change your eating habits at all? Any other info regarding this topic would be helpful as well! :bouncing: Thanks!

When I was on the pill I didn't gain alot. I found that I was really moody and emotional. My acne cleared up and my periods were regulated , but I never gained much weight.Maybe a few pounds at th most.

been on the pill 8 years except for the 3 months that i was on the depo shot. in the 8 years i have been on the pill, ive never gained any weight. Never changed my eating habits either.
Gained almost 50lbs in 3 months from depo though. So dont do the depo.

:wave: I gained 20 lbs in 4 yrs.. so 5 lbs a year on the pill.. sounds more like normal weight gain to me! But I like to try to blame it on the pill ;) ! hehe.. Otherwise No weight gain thats not normal! lmao! :D

I have been on pill for 13 years. I have never gained weight, one time I switched to a different type my breasts swelled for two months or so, and they were very tender. I have also experienced moodiness on the pill.

I didn't gain much weight with the pill either. I did gain 60 lbs while having the depro shot as well. I would never recommend the shot to anyone.

I gained about 15 pounds while taking desogen and I looked awful. My entire body was bloated: my face, my arms, my legs, ankles, fingers and I looked like I was 7 months pregnant everyday. It took me a long long time to lose the weight even though I exercise 5x a week and went on a strict diet. When I switched to a lower dose pill, I didn't have the same problem. Make sure you know how much estrogen is in the pill before you take it. Good luck

I gained 5 lbs in 2 months on diane 35. The second doc i went to told me diane 35 is known to cause that. I exercised everyday and ate right, dropped the weight but had to exercise everyday while i was on it. Im on ortho evra now and havent gained weight from it.

I've been on two pills (Levlen and now Diane 35) and have not noticed a gain in weight.

I gained an amazing 10 kilograms with the bcp. I've tried different ones, but none of them seemed to make a difference. I used to gain weight and lose it, but I allways used to be able to lose it again, but with the bcp, I gained more weight than I've ever did in my life and could not bring my weight down no matter what.

i had been on the pill for 2 years and had no problems with weight until i went away to college. i gained about 15 pounds....you could say i just gained weight because i went away but i think its the pill:) it was really hard to lose weight so in the summer i went off it for 3 months and lost 5 pounds...
