Most of the skin on my face is really bad. First I have acne scars, but I don't think that's what is making me look so old (people tell me my age is 15 years more than what it is when they try to guess..).
My skin is not smooth, it looks like an old person's skin, also I have a few lines on my forehead and I have two lines over my mouth and to the left and right of my nose, I've been under super-stress for years now, is that what the lines is from? I think the lines on my head is because I always have my eyebrows tensed up.
The skin on my cheeks is pretty bad, you can feel it and see it close, also bright light shows it off a lot. Most of the bad skin is under where I shave. I don't know how long i've had it for, I think my skin has been this bad since I was 16 (I am 20 now)..

I would make an appt with a dermatologist. There are many medications on the market these days for acne problems, scarring, wrinkes, etc. I'm sure he/she will be able to offer some suggestions.
Wishing you luck.

Hey! :bouncing: you should try a microdermabrasion cloth on your face.. u can buy them on ebay for about $12.. what they do is basically exfoliate the top layer of your skin so new healthy skin is able to emerge.. its much like an expensive microdermabrasion u can get from the doc... except all u need is water.. and they work wonders for all skin types! i would consider trying this b4 doing anything expensive..
i hope this helps :D

I'm curious about this Microdermabrasion Cloths. How do you actually use it?? do you cleanse your skin first, then pet your face wet, then scrub your face w/ the cloth? I am thinking about buying it. Anyone please reply back.

I was always taught that any kind of scrubbing on your skin is horrible for it, that it MAKES wrinkles. Now can someone explain to me why this microdermabrasion is so big???? Does it have bad long term effects? What about the apricot scrub???

yeah after I read all the good reviews from this forum I ordered one. I won't receive it until next week. I will make sure I scrub my face gently. Can some tell me their experience???

There is a series of books about how to look (and feel) younger with food supplements. The first book is called The Wrinkle Cure. I hope that's ok to mention the name?? Anyway, I've heard great things about the doctor (a dermatologist) who wrote these books. The supplements include Ester C (for collagen), fish oil, and DMAE (?) whatever that is. I know that Omega-3 oils are supposed to be good for eliminating age spots & other little skin problems, even fighting skin cancer. Ester C is a great anti-oxidant. I have a book of his on order and haven't read it yet, but will let you know what I find - or you can buy a copy for yourself!! Note: this is not an "illusional effects" treatment - this stuff is really supposed to reverse aging - dramatically!!! It's amazing what you can do nowadays, if you know what to do!!
Don't use apricot (or walnut) scrub on your face. If you could look at an apricot kernel microscopically, you'd see a sharp, jagged surface. You're really roughing up your skin when you use that stuff!! Broken blood vessels, etc. Use a very gentle scrub, with "microbeads" or whatever they call them. You don't have to get a pricey brand. Neutrogena and Aveeno are good ones. The beads are round and scrub without damaging your skin. Mostly I use plain ol' soap and water and scrub my face very gently, but thoroughly, sometimes twice, to get out oil and dirt. I look very young, but that's partly genetic.

Neutregena Advanced Facial peel is the only skin care product I have ever raved about. Im 47yrs old and have old acne scars and my skin just looked so dull untill I started using this product twice a week. It makes my face practically glow and my old acne scars are mostly gone.If u try it dont put it on too thin because it wont work as well. When i first started using it thats what i did and it did work well but when i started puting it on thicker it was like WOW! My face looked so smooth and practically polished.I figure since i finally found a product that works so well for me they will probably discontinue it.

when you put it on your skin, does it start to peel?? I did a gycolic peel awhile back and I couldn't go out for like a week. It is the same case w/ Nutrogena peel?? Right now I just wash my skin w/ Herbal Logix or Nutrogena clean cleanser. It has Salicylic acid and then I use Herbal Logix scar creme. I dont have large scars. It is almost like large pores and slightly red. I would like to know how Nutrogena peel works. CandyKake could you tell me more about it?? I don't think it is expensive either. How long does the product last??

Its almost like a cream that u put on your clean dry face.U wait about 10 minutes and moisten your fingertips and massage your skin ,then rinse it off.Its very simple .Its not like the traditional masque that you peel off. It doesnt irritate my skin at all and i have sensitive skin.I think I paid $21. Ive been using it twice a week for 6-8 weeks and I still have several uses left.
