--This a "documented" case of someone supposedly getting HIV through oral sex. However, if you read it closely, it makes no sense. She states "I had never participated in anal sex protected or unprotected" She then states "I slept with a guy after going out with him for about a month" Yet she claims b/c she had bleeding gums, she got HIV through oral sex. Wouldnt it be more likely she got HIV from unprotected vaginal sex?! She doesnt say whether or not she was protected during intercourse. It does kind of worry me, b/c I had braces when I gave head. I dont know. There have been case after case that come up with oral sex being zero risk. Is it possible these people who claim to have gotten HIV from oral sex are just not educated on the ways of getting HIV? I also read another documentation, where the person claimed to get HIV through Oral, and then went on to say, they got cum in their eye and rubbed it ( DUH!?) I also read a case about a girl claiming she had gotten HIV from her g/f. She also added at the end that she had been through so much, abuse, rape, etc. Wouldnt it be more likely that she got HIV through rape?! I dont know.

"Why is there little or no warning information to the public about the risk of oral sex and braces for transmission of HIV. I was infected in November of 1992 and developed AIDS by May of 1997. I was shocked by the diagnosis because I had never participated in anal sex protected or unprotected. I had gotten braces for the second time. The braces constantly irritated my gums on the molars where the larger bands were placed sometime to the point of bleeding. I slept with a guy after going out with him for about a month. I later learned he lied to me about his status. I did not allow this person to ejaculate in my mouth but he had an extremely heavy discharge of (pardon the crudeness) precum. I would guess that he had a high viral load because he died a year later. I had no idea that I had done anything unsafe because the information at the time was that saliva killed the virus and oral sex was considered safe."
