 Hi All,

I have read many articles, researchs & studies especially on the holistic side of treatments that amalgams (silver-mercury dental fillings) can cause many diseases & conditions that modern medicines cannot addressed. And many testimonies i read swears that their conditions improved after their amalgams removed, sometimes immediate & others took some time due to the long time accumulation of mercury in their bodies. I wonder if any one on this board can relate to that.
Almost 2 -years now, i have this g.i. conditions that can ba called chronic functional dyspepsia, pain-constipation-reflux dominant IBS, or mild gastroparesis.

The following conditions had affected seriously my life to live to the fullest:
1) Constant abdominal fulness, bloating, thus the feeling of being hungry is gone.
2) Burping, heartburn, nausea-like feeling, bloating & vague abdominal pain after meals (even just after drinking a glass of water!).
3) Size of meal decreased to 50-75% amount what i used to eat.
4) Weight lost (12-15 lbs) never regained back.
5) Symptoms severity changes from time to time.
6) Hair gots thinner rapidly, looks older than my actual age 49. (Before i'm boyish-looking).
7) Vitality decreased, libido almost gone (i'm married w/ one kid) my wife sometimes does not understand, mood swings prominent

A lot of lab/medical tests had done but yield no serious diseases (thanks our Almighty) except for minor chronic focal gastritis & reflux. No h-pylori infection.
Before this conditions happened, i'm very healthy, active person, semi-vegan, do not smoke/drink, does not lives/works on a stressful-environment.

Could this be due to heavy metals toxins, or gluten intolerance or food allergies, or even yeast infections? Why sudden?

I'm still searching for answers, & this board & other boards gave me more insights, help & hope.

Any thoughts/ideas appreciated.

HI Jimmy,
As you may know signs of mercury toxicity include behavorial changes, confussion, depression, mood swings, hyperactivity. I have read that many people have suffered for years with various health problems --- including muscle spasms, yeast infections, chronic fatigue as well as recurring infections -- that were cleared up after having their amalgam dental fillings removed.

The World Health Organization claims that amalgam fillings are a prime source of mercury exposure.

Since you have done alot of research on the subject, you probably know this -- that mercury is an acculated heavy metal over time in your system and cannot be detected by blood tests or urine samples. In the Alternative Medicine field-- the way that it is detected is with a Hair Analysis but there is alot of controversy about the test's reliability for some minerals but I think it is OK for heavy metal detection.

Mercury toxicity has been linked to candida infections. Some of your symptoms that no answers are found by regular Doctors can be related to things they cannot test for like systemic candida problems and mercury toxicity-- other heavy metals that cause problems is lead, cadmium and nickel.

I suggest that you investigate taking Chelation Therapy using EDTA --- IV treatments. It is used to remove heavy metals from your system. I have had it, my wife, son and sister have had the 30 treatments and I still take a maintenance treatment for the last 10 years. A good book to read is "Thirty Something Forever". I did alot of research before I committed to this relatively costly treament for my family.
The treatments are not covered by health insurance unless it is for removing heavy metals. Many people get it to improve circulation as a last resort for bypass surgery and diabetes circulation problems.

It is clear by your symptoms that something is going on other than the normal aging process.

I wish you well---Harry

Hi Harry,
I'll investigate the Chelation Therapy using EDTA --- IV treatments. I wonder how far the mercury had gone to my body. The holistic dentist i'll be seeing has a chelation procedures, i'll also check this out. I hope it won't take long to get rid of this. Right now, i stopped eating any fish just to be sure i'm not accumulating any mercury. I'm semi-vegan anyway.
This is one of my few hopes to find what caused this illness of mine. Sometimes, i feel i'm losing the battle, but because of this board & other help of people like you, i can see again the ray of hope.
Thanks Harry,
Jimmy
