been suffering with headaches ,foggyhead, balance problems for 7-8 years.....in that time ive came out in hard cysts all over my body upto 20 in total size range of 2 pence peice downwards.relevent or not who knows
ive got 2 small hard lumps on the back of my head with a hard thin swollen vein leading from the general area of the small hard lumps on the back of my head down into my neck, every time i turn my head i can feel slight discomfort at the base of my skull/neck from the swollen vein/muscle area down into the right side of my neck.on 1 occasion recently i experienced an extremely stiff neck with extra swelling from the lump down the 'swollen vein/muscle' line into my neck.
the balance problems are present 24 hours a day.occasionally i feel that im moving even though im in motionless car.i also occasionally get disorientated and feel dizzy merely by moving my eyes left or right without actually moving my head a lot.ive also got a few 'soft' lumps in the right side of my neck which my DR assures me are just glands and nothing to do with my over all complaint
my dr's think the lumps are completely harmless and fob me off constantly.about 4 years ago my DR sent me for a cat scan after my dizziness/headaches peaked.the scan came back clear(looking for a tumor i presume)
then after 3 years complaining i was sent to see a nuerologist.the lumps and neck complaint was completely overlooked on the referal notes given to him by my GP.therefore the nuerologist concentrated on my foggy head /disorientation gave me a general MRI scan of the brain(which resulted in me having slightly enlarged ventricles of the brain but within reasonable levels)
he also tested for nuerological diseases of the brain.which all came back clear...when i pushed the neuro expert about the lumps on my head being a possible cause.he told me it was out of his field and maybe it was a dermotologist problem...lol...my DR urges me to refrain from persueing it as its "like looking for a needle in a haystack" and seems reluctant to refer me further.a few other DR'S at the surgery have the same stance and treat me like an annoyance.
can i insist on seeing a specialist as my right(im willing to pay)
if so what would be my next step?an ENT specialist maybe?
also has anyone else experienced a similar condition?
would a chiropractor be able to help?
as a 15 year old i experienced virtual deafness over the period of a week.which cleared easily enough with tablets.also i tend to suffer from a thick mucas resting on my adams apple.could these minor details be an indicator of the larger problem of balance/disorientation?
if you've read this far thanks a lot.my heasds really foggy and this as articulate as i could make it.any advice at all would be appreciated
